In conclusion of my behind-the scenes series of previews for Edmonton Opera's Eugene Onegin, there is one subset of performers I have not mentioned yet: The Shumka Dancers.
All their dancers exude poise and professionalism. While my knowledge of dance is not extensive, even my untrained eye recognizes the grace and ease in which they deliver their Art. Whether it is their kinetic leaps as peasants or the graceful extension of their limbs in the Polonaise at the Grand Ball, they infuse the energy of the stage with their movement.
